updated calendar
On Thursday, October 23rd, a group of high school students from Nute went to the Farm Museum property in Milton to help with the removal of invasive plant species as part of their community service. These species are not native to New Hampshire and spread very quickly and compete with plants that are native to New Hampshire. A few examples included Japanese Barberry, Autumn Olive, Bittersweet, and Burning Bush. Many of these plants have thorns and are very difficult to remove. Our students cleared an area by working for hours in the jungle -like conditions! A big thanks to the Farm Museum staff for providing pizza and apple cider doughnuts! A huge shout out to the students that helped make this project a success!

Student Shout-Out: Jackson Thrasher
Jackson Thrasher recently went out of his way, without any prompting, to make sure a classmate had something to eat. His thoughtful action showed not only kindness but also deep respect and empathy for others. By recognizing a need and stepping in to support a peer, Jackson demonstrated the values we strive to encourage in all of our students—respect, empathy, ethical behavior, and care for the community around him. His selfless choice reminds us that even small acts can make a big impact. Jackson is a true example of what it means to live our Portrait of a Graduate qualities every day.

🚗 Fatal Choices: Alcohol Awareness Program 🚗
The Division of Enforcement & Licensing is bringing its Fatal Choices Educational Outreach Program to our community! This hands-on experience helps increase awareness about the dangers of drinking and driving.

Participants will wear Fatal Vision Goggles that simulate various levels of impairment—from low (.06 BAC) to high (.20+ BAC)—as they navigate an obstacle course in a golf cart and complete a field sobriety test. It’s a powerful, eye-opening way to see firsthand how alcohol affects your ability to drive safely.

Program Details:
✅ Open to licensed drivers or those enrolled in Driver’s Education
✅ Must sign a waiver (under 18 requires a parent/guardian signature)
✅ Held outdoors on a paved area (approx. 50' x 100')
✅ Weather permitting — no rain, snow, or darkness
⏱ Length varies based on number of participants

Let’s make smart choices and drive sober — because one wrong decision can have fatal consequences. Please go to guidance for the waiver and return by Monday!

Without causing any disruption, he then continued on to his own class. Max demonstrated ethical behavior, self-advocacy, adaptability, innovation, and respect—a true model of what it means to be a Ram!
